Extracurricular Activities
Throughout the school year, we have extracurricular activities such as clubs and programs to continue the academic, spiritual, and social growth of our students.
Programs:
Art Club
The art club is open to 1st and 2nd-grade students. They will be making different crafts throughout the year. They will meet once a month from 3:40 to 4:30 P.M. Because of the number of students participating, the grade levels will meet on different days. The meeting dates are listed below for each grade level. The 1st grade sponsors are Mrs. Trevino, and Mrs. Sheridan. The 2nd grade sponsors are Mrs. Carreon and Mrs. S. Rodriguez.

Spirit Team
Our Cheer Club has now started. The girls will be working on different cheers and routines to perform at different events throughout the year. Their meeting dates will be announced as there will be some weeks with more than one practice.
The club sponsors are Mrs. Amaro, Mrs. Elizondo, and Mrs. S. Rodriguez.

Library Club
The library club is open to 3rd, 4th, and 5th-grade students. The club will focus on promoting the love of reading through different activities. They will be meeting once a month from 3:40 to 4:30 P.M. starting in October. Should there be a change, Mrs. Mendez or Mrs. C. Rodriguez the club sponsors will let you know.

Parochial Sports League
MPB participates in the Diocesan Sports League. We were able to make a 4th and 5th-grade girls' volleyball team. We did not have enough to make a boys' team. In the spring, we will have a basketball team. We are hoping for a boys' team as well as a girls' team. We will know more as the time approaches.
Science Club
The science club is open to 4th and 5th-grade students. They will continue to explore new ideas in science. They will also work a little with Robots. They will be meeting once a month from 3:40 to 4:30 P.M. starting in October on a Thursday. Should there be a change, Mrs. Longoria, or Mrs. Mincey, the club sponsors will let you know.

Student Council
Student Council is an extracurricular activity for students in grades 2nd, 3rd, 4th and 5th grades. It gives students the opportunity to develop leadership skills, experience the democratic process, and help with service projects to benefit the school and community.

There will be some scheduled meetings along with some unscheduled meetings called throughout the year. We will send out a Remind notice in advance for those meetings. The meeting will be from 3:40- 4:30 P.M.
